Americans don’t like honeydew & prefer the flavor of cantaloupe – in 2012 5lbs of cantaloupe was consumed for every pound of honeydew melon. And btw, cantaloupe on average is actually ~50% more expensive than honeydew. So the pairing of honeydew-melon at breakfast buffets means a lot of honeydew waste…
